Jiangshi are ‘hopping vampires’: rigid, reanimated corpses of Chinese folklore. Horror films, romance serials, circuit parties and trampolines collapse into a verbatim work that resurrects years of text messages, rituals and nightmares into the hopping corpse of a narrative play.

Co-created by Andrew Sutherland and Jason Ng, Jiangshi will be presented as a work-in-development over 3 evolving performances; a (nec)romance in which autobiography meets Camp horror and Kylie Minogue meets the undead.
